Welcome to KACACDW

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), mandated to pursue humanitarian services for the vulnerable group of the society and having the opportunity of its long experience and expertise in working with the marginalized children and destitute women, has taken the initiative to establish a center for abandoned children of 0-5 age group as well as pregnant mothers and their new born babies who are victims of rape and sexual violence. KNH- Ahsania Center for Abandoned Children and Destitute women (KACACDW), is a specialized institution in Mirpur, Dhaka which provides long term assistance to abandoned children of 0-5 age group and pregnant mothers who are victims of rape and sexual violence. Kinder Not Hilfe(KNH), Germany is our development partner of this project.

Support Services

Medical Support

KACACDW provides food, clothing, and medical assistance as per age and need.

Counseling

KACACDW provide counseling services to the destitute women as well as children who have exposed to traumatic life.

Education and sports

KACACDW has created a joyful learning environment with appropriate educational and game materials to run child developmental activities.

Training & Job Placement

During their stay in the center all mothers are getting literacy and livelihood skills training

The center has been following two different strategies for integration of the abandoned children in the society.

Our appeal to Police Administration, NGOs, social workers, professional groups and general public to provide information regarding abandoned children and destitute women to help us build a better future for them.
